Maria Gebhardt

first I thought... Now, I know....

dreamin the rest of my life
of this thing I've missed
holding my fear like a knife
in the middle of my fist.

keepin it close to the heart of mine
tryin to make 'em an end
it was a feeling I couldn't define
now, I know: it was too much time which I'd spent.

loved you with every tear of my soul
hated you like a tree hates its leafs
I was this little naiv foul
and you were that smart thief.

I can't remember anytime I've cried
before that time you'd gone
and I look back to the moment I'd smiled
into his eyes - into your ones...

But you had nothing better to do
than breakin my heart into thousand of pieces
and my mind states me now that I have to go through
the forest of my wishes.

So: I'm over it
and now I know what I need
there's no love, no hate, not just a little bit
... you're nothing more yet than a little bad seed!
