Jürgen Wagner

Friendship with trees

So deeply rooted, high unfolded
So straight grown and yet devoted
In every tree, there breathes life
Just go to him with all your strife

Touch and lean on this old being
Take your time and sense and see him
Be open, speaking from the heart
In his way, surely he‘ll take part

A birch can send you easiness
A limetree gives you tenderness
An oak has individual might
A beech is fertile and upright

The willow gives you inspiration
The ashes spend affiliation
The maple stands in harmony
The aspen whispers cheerfully

They are the lung of our earth
What we exchange has highest worth
I look, agree and bow my thanks
We stand with them in secret ranks
