Milky Skies
The wintery sun is soft on our skins
We haven’t felt the summer since
The sky rolled in a sheet of shimmering blue
A star spangled banner made just for you
Constellations like spilled milk stains
As smooth as a puddle from the rains
Dappled with ripples and twinkling magic
The skies can present a cold so tragic
Or a flood so melting
Like my heart
The universe is a work of art
