Edmund Huditz

Eternal Clown

If my life was stone, I’d be alone,
but like a rock, without devotion,
I could block any dull emotion.

I’d be heavy, I would count,
and lots of us would be a mount
for all to see, forever to be.

No weather, no gale
would make me inhale
the fame or the shame.

I’d be there, not waiting for you
to pick me up and throw me down
as if I were the eternal clown.
