EL GRIAL DE EBOR

 

 

... más allá de los mares últimos, de las tierras y luces últimas,

estabas tú;

 

… entré en mi corazón como en un fuego

y rosas vivas salieron a mi encuentro cuando dije que Elaí era tu nombre,

mi fe y razón, y mi última, mi excelsa gloria;

llevaba por divisa mis tambores, mis lábaros y lanzas, mis fuerzas y triunfos,

el óleo terrenal,

el mando y ser,

la estirpe;

 

… y nada fue;

 

… en atrios de silencio, bajo luz purísima, del otro lado de la sangre, vive Amor;

aquí, aquí está mi Camelot, mi Excalibur, y, también, mi patria y reina,

la que sueño y fulge,

mi Elaí;

 

… por tanto, extramuros aún y peregrino en el pecho,

pobre, desnudo y ciego, solo estoy;

ah rosas vivas, a aquélla, a la que es mi alma,

¿ podréis decirle que Ebor ha muerto y Ebor está llamádola, podréis ?
