Olivia Chevron

Of Patagonian Ice Fields

I went looking for you between the reeds,
but all I found
were dead ducks and wilting weeds.
You had left a while ago,
and were now
ploughing
through the desert snow
of Patagonia.

Doesn’t that make you feel
even lonelier?

Chastity

I must, I feel,
apologize.
For,
contacting you
was
probably
not too wise.
I shall refrain
from now on,
purify my soul
and chastise.

‘Always’

This word seems to be
your latest craze.
But, maybe, this is
just a passing phase.
Let’s hope
you do not gaze
too long
in the window
of the puzzle shop,
for you will find there
a mere maze.
