Antonio Justel Rodriguez

AND THE VALKYRIES LOVE HIM

…if from my body and with his eyes I gaze,
if among his threads I am enraptured, sing and love, suffer and die,
it is for his Fields of Mars where I redeem and wage my battles;
my body gathers the mirrors, the fallen violets,
anxiety and joy,

[death]

… like a faithless echo, he instructs darkness,
and yet, he guards the quantum fires or divine serpents,
the sacred science, the immortal light, and the Valkyries love him;

… I will go far away and let him fall like a snowflake, like a vine shoot or honey, like dew,

and with his last radiance or light,
I will return;

… my body and I recognize each other;

inveterately, the champions of war sense us and fear us.
