Per un battito di ciglia
mi guardi
e abbassi lentamente lo sguardo
di lato, verso il basso
con profondità e grazia
come una statua antica
i tuoi occhi guardano
verso un mare sconfinato
sopra il quale vola la tua anima
.

For the blink of an eye,
you look at me
and slowly lower your gaze
to the side and downward—
profound and graceful,
like an ancient statue,
your eyes gaze
out onto a boundless sea
over which your soul soars
.

Einen Wimpernschlag lang
schaust Du mich an
und senkst langsam den Blick
seitlich nach unten
tiefsinnig und anmutig
wie eine antike Statue
blicken Deinen Augen
auf ein uferloses Meer
über das Deine Seele fliegt
