how many times do I have to go
down this old road
with my feelings not daring to show
on how many doors do I have to knock
before I find a heart
that doesn`t need to be unlocked
the same mistakes made
again and again
and still the lesson I don`t understand
how can a bruised heart
learn to be brave
how can love be lived
without becoming a slave
