Richard Rodriguez

Rainforest Fall

The fires are burning; burning as much fauna as they can

Only man in his infinite greed....

Could do such a stupid, callous, suicidal

Deed

Life by the millions are being wiped out

We must divert from this madness

We must take new

Route...

There was a man, who stood up for the cause;

In his determination he created a

Pause...

But it did not last long, It was not much of a

Run

When businessmen worried about

Their profits; ended his life

  With a gun

So now the fires are burning, much fiercer than before

They will never be satiated

Till they burn it all
