Ray Boorman

I WISH I COULD BELIEVE

Throughout my life, hurdles have been placed before me.

I measure my approach carefully, so as not to falter,

my trepidation overwhelms me as each barrier draws closer,

with all my might I take that final leap of faith,

but alas, I have stumbled and fallen too many times,

and cannot I fear pick up this bruised body to try again.

I am by nature Agnostic, I always want to see the proof or the evidence to substantiate what is true and what is not.
I feel that having religion in one's life must be very comforting for those who do have such beliefs.

I look at life and hope,
then I look at the world, and despair.
