NO TOCAR

Cayendo, recordaba el demoledor instante. Días antes, canturreaba una canción brasileña: “si tienes a Dios, no hay enemigos”. Pasando la tela jabonosa sobre el brillante descapotable. Obstinado ritual memorizando suciedades e insectos aplastados para luego limpiarlo. Aquella tórrida tarde de diciembre, sudando, se adherían chisporroteos implacables del sol, quemándome, convirtiendo en ceniza las hojas de papaya desprendidas hasta el soportal. Repentinamente, pillé a mi hijo pintarrajeando en los asientos. Grité. Lanzado, fui golpeándole. Furioso. Su pincel cayó. Recapacité. Lloraba nervioso. En el hospital amputaron su mano. Más tarde, mi niñito hizo un dibujo. Sonriendo preguntó cuándo le devolverían la mano. Al borde del acantilado, acelero.
