Maddiie Vali

Consequences

Waves whispering woeful words,
dancing in the moonlight,
a howling gale,
approaching,
with speed as quick as light,
on this very fateful night.

Never again will I taunt,
never again will I be
so oblivious,
thus the scourge will grasp me,
never will it depart,
it will stretch my frame
as if making art across the sea.

This blunder, this faux pas,
making me wish that I had never,
never,
disregarded the voice of earth,
the voice that has such power
that it can whisper and eliminate,
all in one.
