Iris Feller

Alone

Sitting alone in my room
The garden is all in bloom
While I am fading
Because it’s so boring
A bad solitude surrounds me
Lucky - that I want to be

I’m so alone
And I only moan
I don’t know what to do
I’m looking forward to you

I’m waiting impatiently
For you to visit me
We have not seen us for a long time
Well, you’re the best friend of mine
And when you come to me
I will be very happy

Now you’re here by me
And we’re talking a lot
While laughing and drinking tea
No more jog trot
I wish you’ll never go away
I hope you’ll always stay

Your holidays are over now
And I’m feeling so down
I know that I may see you again
But it will take a long time until then
The solitude will catch me anew
You should know that I need you
